Chef/Owner Erin Bailey began her culinary journey in France at the famed Le Cordon Bleu, Paris. It didn’t take long to realize she had found her passion and she would pursue a career with food. She followed her desire to continue learning from the best. She grounded herself in the pastry department of D’amico Cucina with James Beard winner Tim McKee at the helm.  There she fell deeper in love with the beat of the professional kitchen and decided to pack her bags. Her adventures took her to Berkeley, CA to cook with Alice Waters’ team at Chez Panisse, New York to work with French alum Daniel Boulud at Daniel , and Sydney to master Asian Fusion with Neil Perry at Rockpool, Dietmar Sawyere at Level 41, and the crew at The Boathouse on Blackwattle Bay.

Earning her MBA from The Cornell Hotel School prepared Erin to open her own kitchen in Chicago suburb Barrington, IL. Through La Pomme de Pin, she helped grow the small town food scene and became a destination for locally made french fare and curated European delicacies.

After taking time off to raise her family, she opened Kitchen Space in 2017.
